We are absolutely delighted to be able to report to all parents that year 11 have achieved an excellent set of GCSE results this summer. We are extremely proud that the results mean that Bishop Perowne is the 'Most Improved School in Worcestershire' (based on the Attainment 8 score).
The percentage of students achieving the pass threshold in Maths and English (grade 4) rose dramatically with significant gains in both subjects. In fact, we believe that the increase in the proportion of students passing Maths puts the School in the top 100 or so schools in the country for improvements in this subject.
The provisional indications we have point to overall student progress being above the national average and we are also delighted to report a huge surge in the number of top grades achieved – more than a quarter of all grades were at A/A*/7+.
There are many incredibly positive subject area performances, however I feel I must share with you the RE GCSE results, where students from both year 10 and 11 performed exceptionally well with more than 100 A*/A grades across both years.
We are extremely proud of all of our students in year 10 and year 11 who sat GCSE exams. It is testament to their hard work and that of the staff in School that we are able to celebrate such success
