Young Worcester swimmer qualifies for national meet
Year 10 pupil Louis Doyle is celebrating after qualifying to take part in the 2018 Swim England Home Nations event which take place in Sheffield between Tuesday 31st July and Saturday 4th August.
Louis will join thousands of other swimmers from across the country and will compete in the age 15-year group in both the 50m freestyle and 50m backstroke events.
The meet will see the top 45 ranked swimmers for each event compete in what is the country's biggest domestic swimming event. The rankings were based on performances during March and May of this year.
Mark Pollard, Headteacher, commented:
"We'd all like to say a big well done to Louis. Everyone is extremely proud of him and we're delighted to have someone who is proving to be one of the best young swimmers in the country at our school. Louis is a member of Worcester Swimming Club and is extremely dedicated to the sport. He fully embraces our Endeavour Forever motto and we wish him the very best for the competition."
