Practically perfect in every way
Students took on the challenge of putting on a production of the much-loved stage musical Mary Poppins on Tuesday 9th July with just 16 hours of rehearsal time.
A total of 50 students from Years 7 to 10 were involved in the production, which they only found out they were doing at 8.30am on Monday 8th July. The students went off curriculum for two school days to learn their lines, songs and dance routines, before putting on a supercalifragilisticexpialidocious performance in front of 100 people.
Mark Pollard, Headteacher, commented:
"This challenge really shows our students what they can achieve when they all work hard and support each other. Congratulations to all the students involved, they did a fantastic job and put on a great show, and a huge well done to our performing arts team members who worked extremely hard to bring the show together."
