Sophie's Mini Marathon

In order to get to London, Sophie Tothill first of all had to enter the qualifier, which was held at Stourport on 3rd March . Sophie managed to win this race and was the top qualifier in her age group for the West Midlands.
The mini marathon is a prelude to the main London Marathon event and is held over the last 3 miles of the marathon course.
Sophie was entered in the girls under 13 event, where there were a total of 314 competitors.
She completed the course in 18 minutes 50 seconds managing a creditable 19th place.
